ScrubHub Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information ScrubHub collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Account details: name, email address, phone number, and profile photo.

Service addresses and notes you add to bookings (for example entry instructions, pets, and parking).

Messages you send through in-app chat, and photos you share there.

Ratings, reviews, and support requests.

For Pros: legal name, date of birth, home address, experience, availability, and your electronic signature on the Independent Contractor Agreement.

Information collected automatically

Location: for Clients, to check the service area and suggest addresses; for Pros, to show nearby jobs, verify arrival, and share live location with the Client while a Pro is on the way to a job.

Device information and app usage data used to keep the Service working and secure.

Push notification tokens.

On our website: your browser remembers that you're signed in, and our payment partner Stripe uses cookies to help prevent fraud when you enter a card. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Information from partners

Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive limited information such as the last four digits of a card and payment status. We never see or store your full card number.

If we run a background check on a Pro, it is done by a third-party background check company with the Pro's separate consent. We receive the result. Social Security numbers go directly to that company and are never stored by ScrubHub.

Pro tax information (W-9 details) is collected and stored by Stripe, not by ScrubHub.

Pros keep a payment card on file with Stripe so ScrubHub can recover costs for damage they're responsible for (see the Independent Contractor Agreement). We receive only the card brand and last four digits.

Your language preference (English or Spanish).

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email from that provider.

2. How we use information

To provide, operate, and improve the Service, including matching Clients with Pros.

To process payments and Pro payouts.

To keep people safe, including reviewing Pro applications, background checks (when used), and fraud prevention.

To send booking updates, receipts, and support replies.

To answer support questions. Our support assistant uses an AI service to draft answers. Your chat messages are sent to that service only to answer your question.

3. How we share information

Between Clients and Pros, only what's needed for a job. A Pro sees your exact address only after accepting your job. Phone numbers are never shared through the app.

With service providers who help us run ScrubHub (for example Supabase, Stripe, Google, our AI provider, and a background check company if one is used), under agreements that limit how they can use it.

When required by law, or to protect the safety of any person.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Your choices

You can edit your profile at any time in the app.

You can turn off location and notification permissions in your phone's settings.

You can delete your account in the app under Settings. [Placeholder — a lawyer should specify which records we must keep and for how long, for example payment and tax records.]

5. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls so that users can only see their own data.

6. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18.

7. Changes

If we change this policy, we will ask you to review it the next time you sign in.
