ScrubHub Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ScrubHub mobile app, website, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What ScrubHub is
ScrubHub is an online marketplace that connects people who want cleaning services ("Clients") with independent cleaning professionals ("Pros"). ScrubHub does not itself provide cleaning services. Pros are independent contractors, not employees or agents of ScrubHub.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings in the app.
3. Bookings
When you book a cleaning, you are requesting services from an independent Pro through the Service.
Prices shown at booking include the service price and a booking fee. Tips are optional and go 100% to the Pro.
Your payment method is authorized when you book and charged when the cleaning is completed.
Pros bring their own cleaning supplies unless you ask them to use yours.
Prices depend on the home size you enter. Please enter the correct number of bedrooms and bathrooms. If your Pro finds the home is a different size, ScrubHub may update the booking to the actual size and price. We'll notify you, and the hold on your card (or the amount charged) will change to match.
4. Cancellations
You may cancel for free up to 24 hours before the start of your arrival window.
If you cancel within 24 hours of the arrival window, a late cancellation fee (currently $25) applies. Part of this fee is paid to the assigned Pro.
The current cancellation policy is shown before you pay.
5. Ratings, reviews, and conduct
Clients may rate Pros after each cleaning. Ratings must be honest and must not include hateful, harassing, or private information.
Everyone using the Service must treat others with respect. Harassment, discrimination, threats, or unsafe behavior may result in account suspension or removal.
Report safety issues through the app. In an emergency, call 911.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. By making or receiving payments, you also agree to Stripe's terms. ScrubHub does not store your full card number.
7. Damage, loss, and disputes
Pros are independent contractors and are responsible for damage, loss, or theft they cause during a job. Please report any problem through the app within 24 hours of your cleaning, with photos if you can.
ScrubHub will review every report, including the before and after photos taken by the Pro. If ScrubHub determines the Pro is responsible, ScrubHub may refund you and recover the cost from the Pro (from their earnings or the payment card they keep on file).
Please put away cash, jewelry, medications, and other valuables and fragile items before your cleaning.
For theft or any crime, contact the police as well as ScrubHub.
